The growing maturity of the JISBD community can be observed from the increasing number of papers published in major journals and conference proceedings. The problem is that much of this work may remain hidden to the community because it is not presented at the JISBD conference itself, which requires original publications. For this reason, JISBD 2008 aims at collecting some of these papers with a two-folded goal: firstly, to disseminate these works in the scope of the conference; and secondly, to offer them as a guide and stimulus for the rest of the community. With this purpose, JISBD is requesting contributions consisting of papers already published in prestigious journals or proceedings of prestigious conferences. The selection process will be undertaken by a committee composed of recognized international experts.
The selected papers will be presented during JISBD 2008 in a specific session. The organization of JISBD 2008 will acknowledge the contribution of the authors by awarding them with a diploma. Furthermore, the summary page will be published in the conference proceedings.
