The Fourth Conference on Software Engineering and Databases celebrated in Cáceres in 1999, supposed the union of the Conference on Software Engineering and the Conference on Research and Teaching in Databases, that until that moment had been celebrated independently. From then , the JISBD has become the main forum of encounter and discussion at a national level, where groups of research in the areas of Engineering of Software and Databases, universities as much as professionals can share ideas, interchange experiences, disclose results and settle down common lines of research and work.
